Summer Days

Summer days are coming. In fact with the almost 90 degree day, many would believe it is already here. Although I could really do without the high temperatures, I eagerly await the mid-morning swims, half melted popcicles, kids running thru sprinklers, late nights sitting on the porch watching the lightening bugs, and many other things. It seems like it takes forever for summer to get here...only for it to vanish in what feels like a few days....

Chop Chop

About a week ago, After leaving Logan in a jaw-dropped state in front of cartoons, I quickly jumped into the shower. I called his name several times while in there to make sure that he had not escaped into the unknown of the house. He answered each time with the common "whaaatt?" as if I was interupting his precious show on tv. I quickly got out, wrapped up in a towel, and started brushing my hair. Logan quickly burst into the bathroom and asked me if his hair was beautiful. I replied with a quick "yes, of course," and then realized that my sweet little Logan was actually asking me if I liked his new SELF given haircut! After threatening to cut all of his hair off like John Boy's, I quietly sighed with relief that the cut wasn't really all that bad. I am hoping that it will grow out enough not to be too noticeable when I take his birthday pictures in a few days. Not that anyone will notice...he has only told everyone he has met about how he gave himself a new haircut!

Legal Candy Bombs

Jacob can be be a real smarty sometimes, both good and bad...ugh! There are however, just a few things that he still says that still make him a 5 year old instead of going on 25 year old. One of my favorites is when he is playing with Fred's tools. He loves the "level." He walks around the house diligently making sure that everything is in his terms, "LEGAL." Boy am I glad to know that he finds everything both level...and legal!

Another one of his little boyish terms that I really get a kick out of is the "candy bomb." Now surley you know what a candy bomb is...you know...when you run and jump in the pool while holding your knees!

On the Bandwagon...

Ok...that's it! Peer pressure has taken me hostage. Most people I know now have, and have had for a while, a blog. I read several, some on a daily basis and think they are wonderful. So, why don't I have a blog? Well, I don't know. However, I am taking this big step and hope it isn't a failure...lol. I now have a blog. Visit often because like Forrest said, "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you'r gonna get!"
