More SNOW!!

Yep...we woke up to about 4 inches of snow yesterday morning! School was still in, so no play time for Jacob, and Logan and I decided it was very pretty to look at this time from the warmth of the house! The snow is nice....but we are VERY ready for spring!!

More Snowy Fun...

No School Snow Days

I can remember growing up when we wished for school closings because of snow days! It didn't happen very often! Luckily, school was cancelled for Jacob today, so we will get to enjoy what will probably be most of the last day for playing in the snow for us! (probably for a while!)I am sure Jacob will enjoy both the free snow day...and the fact that he will have a two-day school week! More pictures to come...

Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

Here are some pictures from our Snowy Adventures!

My little snow angels...

Not sure if he was little...or an angel...but it was funny!

He couldnt get the snow to wipe off of his jacket...so he started licking it off!

The beginnings of a snowman...

Mmmm...Tastes like Chicken!

Ok...So I am starting to get a little cold!

Can you see the sneaky look on his face as he snuck up behind Fred?
A cup of hot chocolate to warm everyone up!
PS...The snow was supposed to be gone by lunch. It is now 1:51pm and it is still snowing like CRAZY! Bring it on!!

GOT SNOW?

WE DO!!
After Jacob and I went to bed around 1:30 this morning with no sight of snow, this is what I woke up to this morning. The boys are still asleep, but I can't wait to bundle them up and let them go out and play in it!
More photo updates to come!

UPDATE:

As of 9:20 am

I ruffled Jacob's feather's earlier this morning and told him there was snow aot of snow. (He slept in our bed last night.) Still half asleep he attempted to groan because I had woken him up. I got up and opened the blinds and he sat straight up in the bed and his eyes were as big as quarters! He asked if he could go outside and I told him not yet so he laid back down so he went back to sleep!

We woke Logan up at 9:20 and he sat straight up. He ran over to the window, made a big GASP!, and said, "SNOOOOOW!" He is now...WIDE-awake!

Cross Your Fingers, Cross Your Toes!

It is supposed to snow tonight and all day tomorrow. They are calling for the most accumulation right in our area! The boys are so excited, they keep running to the window every few minutes and the precipitation hasn't even started yet! We ran to Wally World earlier, more because we had NO bread in the house and I knew if I waited there wouldn't be any! Of course it was a mad house! We will keep you posted with pictures as soon as we see something!

Let it snow!

It's a Dog's Life...

When we got home this evening, we noticed a dog in the yard. We have a girl dog named Gracie, so we kinda wondered what the stray was doing in the yard...
Jacob piped up and said, "Moma, that's a male dog."
I replied, "Really...? How do you know?"
Jacob replies, "Because I just know moma."
After thinking for a minute and trying to figure out how he would know it was a male dog, I said, "Jacob, exactly what does a male dog do?"
Jacob and all his wits replied..."Moma...he helps the mailman deliver the MAIL...he's a MAILDOG!"

Boy was I was VERY relieved!

Christmas All Over Again

We found (by coincidence) a small real Christmas tree that would fit in our truck and thought it was really pretty...so we took it to my mom's house. After church on Sunday, me and moma went to the store and the boys went to work putting it up for her! She was very surprised and excited!
This was a gift from the boys. It is a plate that they made for her.

On the Road Again...

We decided to go see my mom in Texas for Christmas vacation. We waited until Christmas Eve to tell her...so it was a surprise! The boys were very excited and did a great job on the trip. We took lots of movies and games for them to play. Here are just a few pictures from the trip there.

Jacob and the Transformers

Anytime we travel long distances, the Cracker Barrel is our favorite place to eat. We will travel miles to find one! This is the boys sitting outside.

This is a picture of the sky as the sun was beginning to set in Texas. Notice the whole lot of...nothing! No, your eyes are right. The water tower has one leg shorter than the other. I have always noticed this water tower since I started driving to Texas. It has always leaned to one side.

Merry Christmas

Christmas morning brought lots of gifts...lots of flying paper...and plenty of chaos! I really enjoyed Christmas this year, mainly because the boys are old enough (but still young enough) to enjoy and appreciate their gifts. It was really awesome to see the excitement that came with opening each gift and examining every one. Wouldn't it be great to be able to freeze time!

Christmas Eve Tradition

Growing up, my family always opened one gift on Christmas Eve. I have carried that tradition on for Jacob and Logan...and I don't think it is a tradition they mind! This is them on Christmas Eve night before and after their gifts. They loved their new PJ's and robes! They also put out cookies and milk for santa before they went to bed!
